Macau and Mozambique foster economic relationships

During the 48th Maputo International Fair (Facim 2012) held recently in Maputo, a delegation of Macau met representatives of the government of Mozambique in order to discuss the economic relationships between Macau and Mozambique.The aim of the meetings was to foster economic relationships between Macau and Mozambique within the lusophone market.

During the 48th Maputo International Fair (Facim 2012) held from August 27 to September 2 in Maputo (Mozambique) an economic delegation of Macau met representatives of the government of Mozambique in order to discuss the economic relationships between Macau and Mozambique.  In a seminary during the Fair jointly organized by Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute IPIM (Instituto de Promoção do Comércio e do Investimento de Macau), by the Mozambican Institute of Export Promotion  IPEX (Instituto para Promoção de Expotações) and by the Investment Promotion Centre of  Mozambique CPI (Centro de Promoção de Investimentos), representatives of Macau explained opportunities for foreign investment in Macau.

During the stay inMozambique the Macau delegation also visited the Center of Research and Agricultural Transfer Mozambique China CITTAU (Centro de Investigação e Transferência de Tecnologias Agrárias Moçambique –China), the State-owned company “Empresa de Desenvolvimento de Maputo Sul, E.P.” and the Maputo Port.
