The Congress should be a first attempt to establish a global common platform doing business between India and the Lusophone countries. Bilateral trade is narrowing and restricting the potential of trade between India and the 250 million Portuguese speaking people of the Lusophone countries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <b>Responsible business.<\/b> More responsible businesses can foster more growth in India and the Lusophone countries. Social business, as defined by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, shall focus on providing a product and\/or service with a specific social, ethical and environmental goal. This is also one of the main aims of this Congress.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <b>Enhancing economy and social cohesion.<\/b> The Congress should contribute to enhance economy, trade and social cohesion in India. The contacts during the Congress should contribute to promote investment in diverse sectors (industry, commerce, tourism and services).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <b>Promoting social cohesion in Goa<\/b>. To promote social cohesion in Goa we offer a special registration fee of 1.000 Rs for Indian citizens and of 500 Rs. for Indian students (limited number).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Areas covered by the current participants<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Delegates of Indian companies and Portuguese-speaking countries have expressed the desire to find business partners of the following areas (areas will continuously be updated):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pharmaceuticals, orthopaedics, veterinary, infant accessories.<\/li>\n<li>Hospitals (products and services);<\/li>\n<li>Supply of salt packaging;<\/li>\n<li>Fishing material;<\/li>\n<li>Banking and investment<\/li>\n<li>Electricity (equipment, devices, servicing), technical assistance (electric, diesel, hydraulic oil, generators, climatization and hiring of highly qualified technical staff for the referred areas);<\/li>\n<li>Hidraulics such as suction pumps e volume meters;<\/li>\n<li>Aluminum, Brass and CI Casted and machined spare parts;<\/li>\n<li>Refrigeration and air conditioning: designing and service providing;<\/li>\n<li>Welding joining &amp; brazing technology in dissimilar metals;<\/li>\n<li>Investment and financial products;<\/li>\n<li>Supply of tires; recycling of tires;<\/li>\n<li>Agricultural tractors and spare parts;<\/li>\n<li>Logistics projects and solutions;<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in import-export;<\/li>\n<li>IT and software;<\/li>\n<li>Cold chains, refrigeration\u2026<\/li>\n<li>Tourism promotion<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Preliminary Programme <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Congress will have <b>a plenary session<\/b> in a main hall and <b>&#8220;Face-to-face&#8221; business networking <\/b>in a separate hall, adjacent to the main hall. Both will be held on January 14 and 15 at Hotel Mandovi in Panjim.<\/p>\n<p><b>Social events<\/b> will be held on January 14 and 15.<\/p>\n<p>A <b>Post Congress Excursion<\/b> of one day will be held on January 16.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Plenary Session <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The plenary session will have an inaugural session, major presentations, a country panel and short presentations.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Inaugural Session <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Opening of the Secretariat at 8:30 am\u00a0at Hotel Mandovi.\u00a0The inaugural session will begin at 9:00 am at Hotel Mandovi.<\/p>\n<p>The following dignitaries have confirmed their presence at the inaugural session:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mr\u00a0<b>Manohar Parrikar<\/b>, Chief Minister of Goa.
