In addition, BPRL Ventures Mozambique B.V. and Videocon Mozambique Rovuma Ltd.,\u00a0 both from India, participate in the Anadarko Mo\u00e7ambique Area 1 Group exploring natural gas in the Cabo Delgado\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #444444;\"><strong>province.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #444444;\"><!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p>(LSG &#8211; Lusophone Society of Goa, \u00a05.2.2013). Some Indian companies are heavily\u00a0 investing in Mozambique in areas of agriculture, mining and natural gas. According to the Mozambican newspaper &#8220;Not\u00edcias of Maputo&#8221; the Indian company Primus Agri Projects Private Limited is investing 3 million USD in the production of mung beans (\u201cVigna Radiata\u201d) and sesame seeds in\u00a0<span style=\"color: #444444;\">the province of Nampulain . The company intended to\u00a0 exploit an area of 300 ha, but the government of the province of Nampula decided to allow only 170 ha of land that early belonged to the \u00a0Empresa de Algod\u00e3o de Nampula.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The same newspaper \u00a0also\u00a0<span style=\"color: #444444;\">reports that the Indian Group Jindal Steel wants to invest 180 USD in the north of the province of Tete to produce 2.68 million tons of coking coal for export and 3.9 million tons of steam coal for domestic market and export.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>There are\u00a0also\u00a0<span style=\"color: #444444;\">Indian investments\u00a0<\/span>in the natural gas sector. According to a statement of the Fluor Corp, a consortium made up of Fluor Corp and JGC Corp has been hired by Anadarko Mo\u00e7ambique Area 1 Limitada to draw up the front-end engineering and design project for a natural gas processing unit in Mozambique. The unit will be located in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado, 2,000 kilometres north of the Mozambican capital Maputo. According to the statement, the contract stipulates that the processing unit will have four modules, each capable of processing 5 million tons of gas per year and will include potential expansion to a total of 50 million tons of gas per year.<\/p>\n<p>The Area 1 block is operated by Anadarko Mo\u00e7ambique Area 1, with a stake of 36.5 percent, Mitsui E&amp;P Mozambique Area 1, Ltd. (20 percent) and state Mozambican company Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) with 15 percent BPRL Ventures Mozambique B.V. (10%), Videocon Mozambique Rovuma Ltd.
