\"Beautiful-Girl-in-Brazil\"<\/a>2nd Lusofonia Festival Goa, January 22 \u2013 February 22, 2016.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>A variety of \u00a0events promoting the culture of the Lusophone countries and regions.<\/p>\n

The Lusofonia Festival Goa is intended as an opportunity for different Lusophone people and cultures to come together in this unique event in Goa. The programme included, diverse presentations\u00a0(themes and authors from Brazil, Portugal and Goa), photo exhibitions (from Mozambique, Macau and S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe), book exhibitions (Galiza\/Spain and European Union), music concert by\u00a0the\u00a0Portuguese group Senza, a Brazilian culinary class and the traditional fest “Feijoada e Samba”.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Prof. Jos\u00e9 Paz, University of Vigo (Galicia-Spain) on January 22 (Friday) at 5.30 pm. Goa State Central Library, Patto, Panjim
\nOrganized in collaboration with Academia Galega da L\u00edngua Portuguesa (AGLP, Spain), Associa\u00e7om Galega da L\u00edngua (AGAL, Spain) and Funda\u00e7om Meendinho (Spain). The exhibition will remain open till January 30 (Saturday), Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 7.30 pm; Saturday and Sunday 9.30 am to 5.45 pm.<\/p>\n

\nA Brazilian project which aims to rewrite the history of literature in Portuguese from Goa. In practical terms, this project intends: 1) to catalogue and reproduce (whenever possible) Goa’s literary and journalistic production in Portuguese, as well as to complete the inventory of Goa’s artistic heritage of Indo-Portuguese origin; 2) write a history of Goan literature in Portuguese that interprets these works in relation to the everyday intellectual life of Goa.<\/p>\n

February 11 to 15<\/span><\/strong>
\n Photography exhibition “CAPITAL – Santo Ant\u00f3nio do Pr\u00edncipe”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Goa State Central Library, Patto, Panjim. The exhibition will remain open from February 11 to 15, from 9.30 am to 6 pm, every day.
\nThis photography project was done by Jos\u00e9 A. Chambel of S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe.
\nThrough his photographs Chambel tries to explain the evolution of the city of Santo Ant\u00f3nio during the last centuries. Santo Ant\u00f3nio is the main settlement of Pr\u00edncipe Island in S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe and was colonial capital of Portuguese S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe from 1753 until 1852. The town is known for its colonial architecture and for its churches.<\/p>\n

February 12 (Friday) 5.30 pm <\/span><\/strong>
\n How the European Union works – Chances for Traineeships, Partnership, Entrepreneurship, especially for Goans<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe presentation will be followed by the inauguration of a bibliographic exhibition, at the same building, with the title “The European Union and 30 years of Portuguese Integration”. \n Photography exhibition “INNOCENT EYES”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Inauguration with the presence of the author Emidio Jozine (Mozambique) on February 16, 5.30 pm at Art Gallery, Goa State Central Library, Patto, Panjim. The exhibition will remain open from February 16 to 19, from 9.30 am to 6 pm, every day.
\nEmidio Jozine is a Mozambican Bachelor of Fine Art – Audiovisual Artist, graduated by the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. In 2008 he won the national prize of photography for new talents organized by the Mozambican Association of Photography. He is member of United Photo Press with some photos published on the UPP book called “WORLD” 2013 and “WORLD BLACK and WHITE” 2014. Jozine has his work showing in private collections in the Netherlands, Mozambique, Portugal, S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Spain.
\nIn INNOCENT EYES Jozine took photographs of Mozambican people between South of Maputo and Malawi’s border in Tete. He met people without Facebook to tell their stories, strong stories and he is happy to share these stories and faces with the world.

\n Lusophone music, inspired by travels!<\/span><\/strong>
\n By Portuguese Music Group Senza<\/span><\/strong>
\nMultipurpose Hall, Goa State Central Library, Patto, Panjim
\nEntry free. Limited number of places, first come first serve basis.
\nSENZA, a Portuguese group, comprehends a message of deep musical and cultural union. It’s a music project created by Catarina Duarte and Nuno Caldeira, both from Portugal, after a three-month trip in Asia. In their music, it is possible to identify the meeting of different music styles, as well as the sonority of the several Portuguese speaking countries. It\u2019s a music style which they call lusophone fusion. The existence of musical influences from Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde and other Portuguese speaking countries makes SENZA a unifying product of lusophony, with potential to divulge the Portuguese language and culture. A fascinating story, with an original and astonishing sound.<\/p>\n
